had the fault codes checked- results

right i have had a problem for the past few weeks and managed to get the codes checked yesterday,the results are as follows:

The car is a mk4 gti 1.8t 2000 w plate.

code 17522:
bank 1 probe 2 internal resistance too great

code 17743:
engine torque monitoring 2 control limit surpassed.

the first one i have been told is the lamda sensor,does that sound right?

the second one i have no idea what it is, so if anyone could shed any light on it i would appreciate it.

also would either of the above cause the car to "missfire" under load?

I can't find a reference to your codes??
But misfire is common with the lambda prode being faulty, causes the engine to run lean or rich and hence the is misfire ;) cure that first and see if the other code comes back.

If you can get a Vag-com fault code scan, which should clarify the problems.
