Hi
I'm new to this forum but am a confirmed VW Golf fan since my first MK1 GTi in 1984.
Anyway, I've just taken receipt of my latest model - a MK6 GT TDI and love it apart from the head restraints. The problem being that I can't seem to find a way to adjust them (for angle rather than height). Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Thanks in advance.

Doesn't it show you in the user manual?

No, no mention of it that I can see and i've poured over it. Do you know something I don't then?

Sorry, I must be the only lazy one here not reading the manual. That's why I ask.

Can they be pushed forwards or backwards?

If you don't get a answer, might be worth going back to the dealers to ask. After all they're suppose to be the experts.

Had a follow up call from the salesman today and I mentioned the head restraints in passing. Apparently, they can't be adjusted backwards and forwards due to the new, improved safety enhancements. I love my MK6 but this is something that I just can't comprehend. Guess i'll just have to live with it :aargh4:

I guess its a sign of cost cutting. I believe they did the same with the later MK5s, as earlier models had fully adjustablea active head restraints.
