My 2002 A4 1.9 Tdi Sport is making a awful squeeking noise at low revs when turning (i.e car park etc) my local mechanic (who is very good btw) took a look FOC and said that it could be due to rust build up on a pulley (the car is not used everyday) he said the belt is in good condition and the major belts were changed about 11 months ago. He suggested running the car for a week (I have a 120 mile commute everyday next week) and see if it cures it self.If not it needs to go in for tensioners and pulley replacements !! Does this sound like something anyone has suffered before? I just know from the experience last year that when you start talking belts and pulleys the front of the car has to come off!!
