Reset Service Clock

I have reset the service indicator on my S Line 2004 model. Does it start up with next service timings automatically? as at the moment it appears blank, or should I have not reset it in the first place?

Ill keep track manually about services anyway but just want to check.

It will be blank for a while I think.

It just shows dashes, right? Give it 500 miles and the countdown will begin.
