How straight forward are these to change?

Not got the haynes manual in my hands yet, but is it fairly straight forward and what is the recommended change interval?

Cheers

Dave

easy to change but you must have dynamic timing done to get set correctly

So, what is needed for dynamic timing and can it me done "at home"?

I WILL be getting a manual, am just a bit impatient.. :Blush2:

dynamic timing is done with diag machine
basically it set the pump timing to its optimum injection point
it can be done at home whilst belt has been done if you know someone with diag machine
some people say you dont need to do this but they are totally wrong!

So, if I changed it at home, would it be ok to drive to a garage and get them to set the dynamic timing?

it would probably be ok
but to get it 100% right you need dynamic done
pump will need to be moved to do and belt covers removed
if your local to me i could do

Am in central scotland, am guessing that towcester is a clue to yours?

Its due in about 10k, so will check out local prices - would there be much saving doing the belt myself, if they need to remove covers etc, to set the dynamic timing?

Cheers
