1997 A4 Rear Speaker Install

I am trying to install new rear speakers in my 1997 A4, and was wondering how to remove/mount the rear speakers. Do I need to remove the aluminum speaker covers to get to the old speakers or what? Any advise?

you remove rear seat base and backrest then you can get shelf out
