Heated mirror fault on B5.5

Can any one help with me figuring out why my heated mirrors aren't working(no defrost, they move fine) ? The Rear defroster fuse is good. The fuse with the picture of the heated mirror doesn't exist(null spot in the box). I believe the rear defroster works.My car is a 2001.5 Passsat 4motion GLX sedan.

heated mirrors only work when mirror switch turned to centre posistion the switch should have a heater element symbol
if they still dont work could be the glasses thereselves
