LOL i bet the insurance companies thinking damnit, what are the chances of that... to be fair the driver deserved it doing that kind of speed in that weather.... no matter how good the car is, it cant defy physics

Sure, but no-one deserves this. Human life we are talking about.

the way he was driving and in them conditions he showed no respect for human life, more interested in showing off.

i am glad that no one was seriously hurt though !!

he is lucky he lived, and i have no sympathy for him whats so ever, he should be banned from driving on the grounds of driving dangerously and without due care and attention !!

sorry mate, idiots like this get my back up

Maybe he was not driving as bad as we thought ;)
See the last two paragraphs in particular.

"The Bugatti driver obviously aquaplaned and lost control, hitting the Astra coming the other way. The entire driver’s side of the Astra was destroyed, you could see into the car through a huge crack at the bottom of the door."

astra's arnt made to disintergrate in an accident, so how fast was he going when he hit it ???

txt taken from the same article !!!!!!

"Police at the scene described it to me as a 50mph accident, there were virtually no skid marks and the airbags hadn’t gone off. The car sounds and looks so fast it probably fooled passers-by."

Another quote. What I am trying to say here, is that the media typically does not know the facts so makes up good reading news whether it is true or not. People get convicted by a Jury because of prior "media" knowledge :zx11:. If the guy was driving like a pillock then thankfully no-one was hurt but he/she wants the book throwing at them. My point is not to judge someone on the stupid media reports ;)

Looks like a bit more than a wash and buff out will take care of.. Looking at the car real close I am really a bit surprised that there is as little damage as there is..

We live near and often travel the main highway north-south on the west coast of the USA.. It runs from Canada to Mexico.. 4 or more lanes all the way.. We usaly travel at 75 to 85 mph and are often passed by dream cars traveling at speeds so fast the local Highway cops can not chase them down.. Our cop cars will only do 140 mph.. But for sure never one of those.. But the cars can not out run the radio.. The cop just calls ahead and another cop puts strips of spikes across the road and that ends the tires and high speed run.. I have seen several of the cars after running over the spike strips.. Always a mess..
