Hi All
First post so please be gentle.

Can anybody recommend how I can reduce the annoying glare caused by other motorists with their cr*p headlights in my rear view mirror.

Is there an anti-glare mirror I could buy, or even some sort of film to put over the existing mirror?

Thanks
James

What age is your Passat?? i'm not sure about the earlier Passats but i thought they all had auto dimming rear view mirrors certainly from 2000 onwards.

My 2001 130 tdi sport had a auto dimming rear view mirror but i must admit when i traded her in it had failed :(

Thanks for quick response.

Car is a 54plate TDI highline. Maybe it has one but has failed. I'll check that out.

Thanks again.

Hello,

You can buy a Auto anti glare rear view mirror from this site: http://www.digitalmirrors.co.uk/

my passat had an auto dimming mirror fitted from the factory and they are good.
I have been enquiring about retro-fitting to my Audi and the dealer tells me that I can't because each wiring loom is custom made for the cars options and so there is no socket to plug the mirror into.
I don't know if itis the same for the passat.

I had a rear electric blind in my Vauxhall Omega Elite and this was the best thing for night driving. It would pop out in a scissor action. Here is a manual one for Passat...
