I need two new front tyres for my golf and was wondering what is the best tyres to get (dont want cheap ones but dont want to pay a fortune)
A few tyre garages have recommended TOYO PROXES T1R or PIRELLI 0
Has anybody had experiences with these tyres and are they any good.
Will be much appreciated if any one has answers on these or any other recommendations,thanks!!!:1zhelp:

I Ran Toyo Proxes On 18 Kahn Rsv Fitted To Vw Golf Gt Sport 140
They Had Serious Road Noise At About 70 To 80mph, That Bad That Vw Replaced My Gear Box Thinking It Was That .

My GT 170 got delivered with P Zero Rossos and am now on my 2nd set of fronts, they wear well, got 18K out of the last fronts, and grip is excellent in both the wet and the dry. Road noise is a little higher than other similar makes like Michelin/Conti/Dunlop but the grip more than makes up for that.

I've run proxes on 5 sciroccos, a corrado,a golf estate, an A4 avant etc all with good results, mileage is approx 14,000 to 20,000 on the front depending on the vehicle. Good all round tyres with excellent grip in the wet or dry but NOT in snow.
We use goodyears on contract at work and before that michelins. They are good but we get them through central govt purchasing for less than 1/2 of the retail prices.
I am more than happy to pay for Toyos or Fuldas, my latest A4 came with Falkens fitted and they are very poor in comparison considering the small price difference.
Just a word though Toyo prices will be going up at he end of the month and again at the end of march according to my local dealer.

Hi, www.tyrereviews.co.uk (http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk) helped me decide what to put on my gt tdi, according to my priorities(in my case tyre wear/quietness/comfort) then a
quick look on ebay motors for my choice and voila! 4xKu 31's fitted-total price £152.00! superior to the NCT 5's I had on previously for my type of driving(smoothness/economy).:beerchug:

A year ago the front tyres, Bridgestone, on my GT 170 TDI were done after only 12500 miles. A year on and the replacements - Pirelli P600s - have done a further 15000 with 3mm tread depth remaining. 90% of my driving is Motorway/Dual carriageway. Hope this helps.
