Hi guys,
Have a Avant A4 B7 2 tdi.
Today got the low oil light on so do you think I would OK as I put the full ltr bottle on my rear compartment which was given to me at the showrrom, fully synthetic and the correct stuff.
Hope this is OK.
Can any let me know how far in oil wise would it take to fill it back to the perfect level once the oil light comes up?
Audi saleguy today told me it goes from a yellow to Orange the when is changes to a red colour you must stop and call for assistance.

Hi,

Don't rely on the light as a guide to filling engine oil, use the dip-stick.
Sorry if I'm pointing out the obvious, but you should:


Put about 1/8th of the bottle in at a time
Pull-out the dip stick, wipe it and dunk it back in and read the oil level on it
Add another 1/8th of the bottle and repeat the above process until the oil level is bang in the middle of the hatched area on the dip stick


Remember that over-filling oil can cause damage to your engine too - especially if you have a CAT or DPF fitted! (do Audi TDIs have CATs?)
