my seat leon is due for a cam belt renewal do i have to get the water pump changed too or not your advise would be grateful cheers

the choice is yours
i would check for play in impellor and check coolant for proper circulation
if in any dought replace

always a shame when a water pump fails before cambelt is due again, as it means doing the whole job again. you will obviously save yourself the cost of the pump and new coolant now, but it could cost you another cambelt soon. i would advise changing it now.

yep it is got it done at lawson cars middlesbrough but the guy was talking of putting the price back up :(

Get the lot changed, water pump, tensioners, belt etc. I had my belt changed at 60K (although I thought tensioners had been changed aswell !), and 10k later a tensioner failed, belt slipped, engined 'blew up', £1500 repair bill !!!!
