After doing the rounds with the German car showrooms, doing the test drives, speccing them up on the web, getting quotes from brokers etc etc I ended up going with the default choice of ordering an Audi from my local dealer !

We'll be sad to see the S4 go but fortunately we have many happy memories of it : time on track, at the 'ring, on European driving holidays and even driving our first born home from hospital. We'll certainly miss the Milltek enhanced noise of the V8 but it's time to move on. With middle-age upon us (I'm nearly 40 http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/images/smilies/EEK2.GIF ) and a growing family we've gone for something a little more sensible and practical :

Audi A4 Avant 2.0TFSI quattro Executive S-line
19" 7 arm double spoke alloys
Monza Silver (metallic) or maybe Meteor Grey (pearl)
Full leather
Heated front seats
Bang & Olufsen
AMI
Adaptive lights
Storage Pack
Lighting pack
Parking Plus
Electric Folding/Dimming mirrors
Hill hold assist
Rear side blinds
Load area rails
The Executive package also adds
Bluetooth
Cruise Control
Symphany 6CD head unit

It should look like pic below :D

I guess now I'll have to ensure I make the most of the time left in the S4 http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/images/smilies/grin.gif and spend my time looking at remap graphs for 2.0T's http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif

p.s. If you're interested in any of this lot let me know (although being a B8 forum I guess not). I'll be putting adverts up once I've got it all stipped off.
5 x OEM B6 S4 wheels (available now)
4 x RS6 5 spoke replicas (available now)
numberplate : S4 ETC
RS4 pedals and foot rest
curry hooks (for the saloon)
B7 aero wiperblade arms and blades
Phatbox (with 80Gb !! capacity)
and perhaps I'll find more stuff!

If only I wasn't exporting the car to the Netherlands :(

Pedals are now all off and looking very good i.e. much better than I thought 10k miles or so. I must have a gentle touch :D (My footwell now looks very plain and boring :( )

I finalised my order today.

I've added Tyre Pressure Monitoring and after much research rear airbags.

The other big decision today was the colour. We finally went for Meteor after seeing it on an A3 cab ;)

Now the waiting begins... it's just like waiting for your wife to give birth ..... and I'm doing that too !!! :biglaugh:
