bug plugs

Hi all
can anybody tell me how to change the spark plugs in a 2001 2.0 beetle
without stripping out manifolds etc.
the engine warning light (emissions ) is flashing and i want to try plugs first.
please help as my wife is getting bug withdrawal symptoms :aargh4::aargh4::aargh4::aargh4:

I DOUGHT IF IT WOULD BE PLUGS
you can get plugs out using a pair of long pin nosed pliers for caps
and wobbly sparkplug socket
Isuggest diag test first

Problem could be the Lamda/Oxygen sensor there are normally two on the beetle get a VAGCOM carried out to determine which one is faulty

Whatever the problem is, if you changed every sensor and device on the car and kept the original engine, ECU the warning light would stay on as the fault has to be cleared for the emissions light to go out. These engines are extremely sensitive to plugs, they hate anything other than the correct NGK plug and leads/coil pack are very prone to failure.
