My golf is suffering with a squeaky clutch pedal, clutch isn't slipping or anything like that, so I'm hoping its just something minor.

I've tried some WD40 and with no success.

Its know slowly driving me insane :zx11:

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Worth a try. My clutch pedal squeaks as it is being depressed, but never got round to investigating it further - have recently had the alternator & radiator to replace and now I think the heater matrix is leaking as the heater blower resistor is soaking wet (and badly corroded!) and water seems to be dripping from the housing where the resistor is located (this housing is open to the main air duct) A pain in the a$$ job...

Will try the grease on the clutch cable though and let you know how it goes.

I had the same problem on the golf. VW luricated the pedal, which cured the problem for about a month then it squeaked again in the end I had to have a new clutch pedal
