Hi,
I have Vag-Com 311.2 fullversion and wonder if it is to use on a Sharan TDI PD 2005 model?
Vag-Com 311.2 published in 2003 so I want to know about it going to use it on newer models?
Can we trust the results that we get after AutoScan?

Can you trust it? Maybe - but not certainly. There were several major changes in VAG-COM in 2004 and in 2005. These covered issues dealing with certain modules that may be present in your Sharan.

Of course, you may say that I am just trying to sell you but if you want to be sure of proper performance, I would recommend that you upgrade. At minimum, I would run version 409 if it is compatible with your interface. My guess is that your interface probably works with 409. You can deactivate 311, save the deactivation code, then request a new activation for version 409 without spending a dime. But, before you deactivate 311, download 409 and run it in shareware mode to test your interface. If all goes well, then deactivate 311 and request a new activation for 409 on this page: http://www.ross-tech.com/vca/short-form.html

If I were you, I would want a newer copy. You can do an interface upgrade with Ross-Tech. At the minimum, you can do an outright upgrade which gives you credit for the license you own. If you purchased your interface from Ross-Tech or one of our distributors, you can return the interface for credit towards your new interface.
