My golf 96 2L 16v hesitates on acceleration intermittantly. doesn't seem to be affected by hot or cold happens more noticably around 3000 rpm. tried all the obvious stuff i know such as sparks, air filter, HT 's, crankcase breather hose, distributor tested resistance all seems ok ive been told to test coil as it doent start that great, not sure how without buying a new one, can anyone tell me ? or suggest anything else i can test for free before i admit defeat and take it to a garrage
