First time GT TDI 150 golf!

Hello all!
just picked um my 02 plate black golf today!
Really pleased with it :biglaugh:, wanted one for ages!
BUT!- on way home i gave it some and the turbo was kickin in around 2000rpm but when i hit around 90mph the turbo stopped working:(!? i took the car home then went back out in it about 1 hour later and it was fine!
is this normal??:1zhelp: please!

Hi No this is not normal,i think you have an overboost problem,and you will need a fault code read to verify this.

Thanks i will take it to vw and have it checked out!
If it is over boost how much do u think it would cost me to sort it??:confused:

I assume you took a detour to a track or were driving on the autobahn when testing this! :p

Just need to get it to your local vag com dealer and they will tell you what the faut it.. there is a number of smaller sensors that it could be any one of..

should not be a lot to sort..

turns out to be the right hand sensor on bulkhead as your looking towards the engine! only cost £35 for a new one! thanks all!:D
