i have a 2003 2.0FSI A4 saloon, full history, half way between services, at 82000 miles. it's developed a rattling sound similar to that of pinking, but it's not pinking. it's coming from the inlet manifold side of the engine, and is only apparent when the engine is up to temperature. when it's cold you cannot hear it. it also pulls harder when it's not quite up to temp, as when the engine fully warms up, you can hear this rattle and the car feels a bit flat. anyone with any ideas. it's running on v-power 99 octane.
