AKE AC condensor pressure sensor

I have no AC and would have expected a fault code but no. A mobile AC specialist says it's probably the high pressure sensor after recharging the system (thinking that was the problem) but I'm reluctant to change it without measuring a fault. I measure ~12V at the compressor and at the sensor with good grounds. Any pointers please. I have a scope.

What year is your vehicle and do you have diagnostic equipment?

I have Dec 2001 registered model detailed below. Have a registered version of vagcom but only 409.1 and a 4 channel automotive Picoscope. Thanks in advance.
