I have a general question.
Claying, whats it all about ? What does it do ?

It removes contaimination on the paint surface and leaves it really smooth, enabling paint cleaner, polish and wax to be more easily applied.

it is very worth doing, makes waxing and cleaning easier because the surface is much better condition than before, in my experience, it leaves it with a finish like window glass after a clean, hard to explain really? im going to be doing my passat in a month or two when it is comfortable to be outside for more than 5 minutes, i dont have the luxury of a garage so will be doing it outside, not ideal, but at least it wont be sunny.
