I am experiencing a strange problem with my 2001 A4 1.9 tdi.
When I lock the car with the remote key the car locks and the indicators flash once. This signifies the car is locked and the immobilsor is set. But after a few minutes all the indicators start to flash, front and rear. This lasts for a few minutes then stops.
At first I thought that something in my street might be interefering with the car. People have so many wireless gadgets nowadays I thought that maybe a wireless router or baby monitor might be the cause. But I noticed it now doing it when I park it at work or in the town centre.

Has anyone else had this problem or have any idea what the cause might be.
I have tried using my spare remote locker and it is the same.

Any advice much appreciated.

If this is the B6 model it could be plenum chamber related.

Is your passenger footwell wet beneath the carpet?

I will check the passenger footwell tonight as my wife has the car at work today.

How do I check if it is a B6 and what is the plenum chamber?

Cheers Paul B

The B6 is the model number. Is it the 96-01 model or the 01-05 model?

If you put plenum chamber into the search box at the top, you'll see many, many threads covering it.

Its drain holes beneath the battery and battery cover.

It is the 01-05 model and the passenger footwell is dry.
Any thoughts?
