Issue with 2008 Jetta

Hi,
I recently bought a 9 month old Jetta SE 2.0 TDI.
I have a couple of issues I don't understand and would like help with :-

1) The spec implies that the car has heated door mirrors but I can see no evidence of them working. Could it be a fuse?

2) In the booklet 3.1 Control on page 15 it talks about menus in the "multi-function display plus (MFD)". As I can't seem to get these menus is my car not fitted with this option. How can I tell?

Hi
1) I have an 06 Jetta Sport with same engine. Heated door mirrors only work when you rotate mirror control knob to the 12 o'clock position (heated symbol) and you switch on the heated rear window.
2) I only have the smaller MFD which allows checks like mpg etc but no access to any other settings like delay time for lights etc.
