Noises/Rattles in extreme cold

Has anyone experieced noises from the rear parcel shelf/window and the front window/dashboard in the extreme cold and when it warms up it suddenly goes?

Is it possible that the extreme cold conditions result in shrinkage of certiain plastic parts resulting in loose fittings thus rattling, and once it's warmed up a little and expanded again the parts fit snugly again, and no more rattle?
