Come on guys, help needed!

Bought wifey this before Xmas from VW dealer. This noise was not apparant on test drive. Car serviced before delivery. Really noisey from cold and can still be heard at lowish revs, around town speeds whn hot. Dealer says this is normal, but I don't think so. What's your's like???

our 1.4 16valve 99 petrol does tap a bit for a couple seconds on start up, once oil pressure is up its gone. Probably not relevent if yours is a newer model tbh, as maybe it is normal on your model, but i doubt it. Is the oil level ok? Does it look like the oil has actually been changed? If not change it, and keep it as close to the max level as you can. If all thats fine, then i would be getting the oil pressure checked, under warranty or diy, whatever. Hth

Thanks for your info. Yes checked the oil. It's actually extremely clean - like its just been put in, which is how it should be as they serviced it before
we took delivery
