Lupo radio code how do i get?????

Hi all !!! one of lads at works vehicle is asking for radio code, i am golf mk4 man do they have same system where sometimes when you leave ignition & radio on it gets code from ecu ?? and also if not how do i go about getting it?
any help appreciated

There should be a sticker in the boot with a 14 digit code on it. It should be something like : VWZ2Z1J...... That is the serial number of the radio. If you give that number to your VW dealer they should be able to get the code for you. I'd take the vehicle log book and some form of ID to prove you own the car/radio. It should only take them 2 mins, so I doubt they will charge you for it.

If the number isn't in the boot, you can remove the radio and get it off the side of the unit.
