Cooling Fans running

Found 04 Octavia Elegance 130 running cooling fans in middle of night. Battery gone flat.
Changed sender but with no joy.
Currently driving with fuse removed in this cold weather.
Anyone got an idea

I had this exact problem with my 03 vRS. The garage replaced the control relay and problem solved.
