Serive light on 02 Polo

Does anyone know how to switch off the service light on my 02 Polo. I've had it serviced at an independent garage but they haven't reset the service light.

Any Help?

I have an 03 Polo (1.4 16v sport).
The procedure is in the car hand book (3.1 controls and equipment) and quoted here:

"If the service is not performed by a VW dealer, the display must be reset as follows :

With the ignition switched off, press and hold the trip meter reset button.
Turn the iginition on and turn the reset knob right. The display will then return to normal.The next service will be shown at 15,000 km if yu reset teh service display yourself. The service interval will not be defined for the individual vehicle"

That might work on your polo. Check what your manual says.
