Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me if part number 4F0419091AH 1KT (originally meant for Audi A6, A8 & Q7) can be installed on an A4 B6?

Thanks

Yes, but you may need additional components to get the multifunction bit working

Thanks Issac,

I'm just interested in getting the radio controls working. Is it the steering wheel control unit that may need replacing? (the control unit you need to change to enable Cruise).

Yes, along with the slip-ring for the airbag which sometimes needs changing along with the wiring harness for the wheel itself.

Damn, didn't think of the wiring harness. Maybe its a bigger job than I thought. Has anyone out there retrofitted a MF steering wheel to an A4 B6 without cruise or DIS?

The wiring harness will only be the one within the wheel itself, make sure your new steering wheel has it fitted. Many B6's have had these fitted.

And while we're at it: going from the original 4-spoke to a 3-spoke sport wheel won't require a new slipring if the new 3-spoke wheel is also from a B6 (part number begins with 8E). Is this correct? I want to get a perforated leather S-line 3-spoke wheel for my B6, but I don't need the MF.
