I have a '56 plate 3.0TDI. I realise that it's a 2-ton plus beast dragging three differentials, but is economy of 35-36 mpg on long ( >300 miles) motorway runs with cruise control set on a true 77mph (speedo 81) reasonable? I only get 27mpg on my 9-mile commute, but the engine is only just hitting full temperature when I finish the journey, so I'm not so bothered about that! Also, does anyone have realistic mpg figures for the W12 model?
