hey guys i got an original 2.0 AAD engine(1989) but i'm thinking of putting a newer one. What model can fit comfortably with not much changes to the suspension?
i 'm having a few problems with my engine
any ideas?

Hi

Are you looking for a performance gain, or just a replacement engine? I'm guessing the similar 3A engine would be a suitable replacement engine. I would suggest an upgrade would cost far more time and effort than the car would be worth and the insurance etc would become a headache. But to answer your question, weightwise a 16v would be ok, if you want to push the boat out go for a 1.8t, or even a modern tdi?!
