emission control light and bad juddering

hi i have a 53 plate a3 2.0ltr fsi sport and it has started juddering really bad and the light has come on.

so bad cant drive anywhere.

think it could be one of the coils

can anyone help???

stu i think you could be right on the coil pack have your mate look at it and get that astra back to your old man quick sharp before your work mate mark decides to ditch it lol

hi mick, yeah my mate looking at it on monday, he took it out this morning and thinks the same so running up to his garage on monday to plug in the computer. let you know if i get it going.

Hi im new to this forum..

My problem is I have an Audi A3 2Litre TDI SE (138) on a 53 Plate.

Im having the same juddering problem but only in 4th 5th and 6th gear and only above 3000 rev's, It sometimes Judders when I try to start it but not very often, I dont have the emission control light though, Its just Juddering with no Fault lights coming up..

And 1 more question, Where's the best place to get a Front Skid Pad for my car?

hi mate yours will be a different problem as yours is a diesel. so sorry mate cant help you. post your own thread and see who can help.

had my car up to my mates garage this morning. gotit plugged into the computer and it diagnosed that coils 1 and 3 had gone so we changed them.

when we took them of you could see they had gone. they had gone all rust inside, looks like someone before i got it had presure washed the engine and water has got in them.

all fixed now so all happy again

nope still no joy i still think map sensor but until vagcom i wont know for sure
