Hello there!, i have a slight problem an wonder if anyone could help. My girlfriend has a x reg. lupo. it has been serviced in the last few months-before it was required to be. The problem is that the service light has just come on even though it does not require one. The car was bought in good faith but unfortunately did not come with a handbook so we are at a loss to know how to turn this light off. If anyone out there could help we would be extremely greatful. Thanks a lot.

Hi, What I will do is have a word with a VAG specialist I know and see if he has the procedure to do this.

Thank you very much for your response. Im very pleased to have found this site as me an my girl are both proud owners of dubs. i know in the manual of my golf it tells you how to reset this-at least i think it does! il be getting myself onto the golf forum at some point for advise on how to fit an ABS sensor to my mk3 GTi. Thank you for your rapid response, we'l be very greatful for any advice you can provide.

Have you had a chance to find out about the service lights yet? Having spoken to a friend at work yhey say that some sort of tech2 style equipment is needed. It plugs into the socket behind the ashtray. If this is the case im guessing there is no way i can turn it off myself. Do you think the vw garage where we had it serviced would turn it off for us, even though the service was about a year ago. If you know of anyone in the norwich area that can do this we would be very greatful. thank you

When my Lupo's display showed it was due for its service all I did was to use the odometer button to reset it.
I will have a look in my owners manual tomorrow night and post the info here when I finish work at 11pm tomorrow.
If you do also have the equipment you can also reset the service light + check other parts of the Lupo's system by plugging into the port behind the ashtray.
