Hey there, does anybody know if an s3 intercooler will fit my 150bhp a3 turbo and also is there any difference in performance??

Cheers

New sure but most likely not. There could be a lot of parts differ between an A3 and S3. Think about pipes, mounting brackets etc...

Why not look what Forge has to offer for an A3 with a 1.8T 20V engine.
They have intercoolers that are larger then the stock intercooler and with better flow characteristics.
As I understand a larger IC only helps/improves bhp when also doing a remap on the ECU. Investigate that first, it also depends on the engine code (3 letters) which can be found near the cam belt cover. Most remaps work well with a stock IC.
I believe 150bhp has a K03 turbo thats also the limiting factor.

Thanx for that mate, will see what uprated ones i can get for it. Any ideas on how much i am looking at paying for a re-map and also, whats the difference between a chip and a re-map??

I assume you live in the UK, so have a look these site and contact them for expert advise. First look what engine code you have which can be found near the cam belt cover and is a three letter code.

Keep in mind that after a chip upgrade you always need to fill up with a higher octane patrol.

Chip or re-map is basically the same, both means installing a new program in the ECU.
Some ECU require a new EPROM or EEPROM (these are memory devices)and some can be flashed(these have flash memories and a new program is "downloaded in the memory")
