Seat Ibiza 1999 wet carpet

Hi everyone. I have a Seat Ibiza 1999. The car stays on the drive most of the time as I use a works vehicle. I´ve noticed that after all the heavy rain that the passenger carpet is soaking wet. Never had a problem with wet carpets before. Now car is getting smelly too due to damp. As the car has not been out in the wet lately could there be a leak somewhere?

How can I remove the carpet to dry it out?

put a de-humidifyer in the car over night, you'll be amazed how much moister you get out, maybe be a rubber seal, i had prob with rubber seal where clutch cable routes.

I´ve removed the carpet and the underlay and one of the floor plugs was missing. Still not sure how water would get up in from there so will monitor the floor pan after the next rain as may have another leak from somewhere else.
