central locking problem

hi

i got a VW polo 1.3, 3 dr hatch, 1995.

today my central locking stopped working. when i press the remote the indicators still flash and alarm activates/deactivates. But none of the locks work, which means i cant fill up petrol. :(

i tried checking the fuse and it looks ok, the internal light and clock still works. (they use the same fuse)

tried disconnectin and reconnecting the battery. no joy.

any help would be appeciated.
