Hello, sorry if this seems a stupid question for someone who buys a audi A8. How much could the insurance on an A8 2000, 3.7 , 40v quattro can be? I have a licence BCE. Thank you very much.

Ours is £570 incl fully comp, business use, full recovery, personal injury and legal cover. 3.7L fully specced D2 model, 02 plate.

That's for 37yo male, 32yo female, married, both with clean licences, parked on drive, decent postcode in East Midlands.

I used gocompare to get best price and to check out likely costs before buying mine. I assume the other comparison sites are just as good. I put the registrations shown on the used audi pages to get an idea of the likely cost for the various models.

I have a low spec (for an A8!) 3.0 petrol, cvt gearbox, no quattro. 05 plate. 49 year old with 3 points for speeding. South West London. Business use, Fully Comp: Quotes ranged from £1500 to £550, but quite a few reputable firms quoting at the bottom end.

Just had a nice man drive into mine, gained a small dent and a wrecked alloy. My insurer use something called "Drive Assist" who wasted five days arguing about letting their garage mend it, rather than Audi. Eventually Audi fixed it and Drive Assist lent me a new Merc E class whilst it was being fixed.

E class was okay but leagues behind the A8 in comfort.

Hope this helps?

I will try now on the web site you sugested. I think I will be high because I am only 24, I am an HGV driver, but I don't know if that will make any difference, plus I have only 3 months since I moved in UK, I live in SW London. I will try and see, hope is low. :D I really like the car. lowest I get is 1.300. for a 2.7 engine car. :( I think I will get something else.I have 8 more months till I get 25, I think I will get something smaller until I do that, and after I will change it. It is the only chance I get a smaller insurance.
