key fob

hi people,i have just bought a second key fob which obviously now needs programming,does anyone have any info on how to do this,many thanks.....

I have already tried one set of instructions posted on here,which involved locking passenger door with the key manually,but there is no external lock on passenger side.........thanks again.

Hi there,

You can program it to work the central locking easily using the technique I think you are describing.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to get it to work with the immobiliser as the code requires to eb programmed in with VCDS/Vag-COM. This is the SKC code which is individual to your instrument cluster. Unless of course you have the SKC code?

If you don't then it won't be possible to do this wihtout getting the code through Audi and that in itself is near impossible as their technicians no longer get to see it it is done through their computer network to Germany for "Security purposes".
