Drivers electric window problem

The drivers side window has decided to stop working 2" down!
The passenger side window will go down from the drivers side switch but will not go back up from that side.

The deadlock operates but no longer does up the drivers window either.

Help it's bloody freezing!!

I have had a similar problem on a 98 alhambra, owned from new, the wires in the drivers door, by the hinges had snapped/broke in the loom, had to open the loom and re solder the wires together, its very tight to get the wires to reconnect, this fix lasted quite a few years until recently and just redid the soldered connection.
