Sooo .... what 18" or 19" alloys would go well with my audi (pic below)?
Not sure if 19's would be too much?

I like these (http://www.wheel-base.co.uk/proddetail_fit.asp?prod=18Ace184) from wheelbase.

Have a look around the site!

Can someone tell me if a set of 18" RS4 Alloys will fit my A4?

Cheers

It will fit as long as they are 5 x 112 pcd, with an offset between 35-45.

What are the wheels your looking at? can you post a link?

Genuine RS4 ones wont fit as offset is wrong. However, there are plenty replicas out there !

The guy i know selling them said he measured from the centre of the wheel to centre of one of the studs which is 55mm - is that the offset?

That means nothing tbh....

The pcd is the circumference of the centre of the studs, and the offset is how far in / out the wheels come.

All explained here (http://http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg2.html).

That would be the PCD but he did measure the wrong way ! PCD means Pitch Circle Diameter and should be 5x 112mm to fit b5 audi...Offset is different and should be between 35-45mm. Any lower than 35 will stick out of the arches and higher than 45 will be too much tucked in the arches and may touch onto susp.

Right ok i'll find out! Thanks Nick and Adam! Chances are they wont fit anyhow as you said offset is wrong!!

Matt

If he measured that accurately, the pcd is 55mm x 2 = 110mm.

If he was slightlu inaccurate and it measured 56mm.... that'd be 56mm x 2 = 112mm.

Ask him what it has stamed on the rims. post it here ;)

Offset is generally referred to as ET

Have a look at this item no. on Ebay 360081126858, personally I don't think you'll find a better looking alloy than the BBS LM for the A4. ;)

It even shows a couple of pics on your car.

Using the info you pm'd me, and assuming your original wheels are 195/65R15's, the alloys will be 19mm smaller than your original steel wheels.

This will cause your speedo to under-read by 3%

See here (http://http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html)

If they do rub, you could add spacers to bring the wheels closer to the arch. 3mm should do nicely ;)

Normally, when people have 18's on these, the tyres used are 225/40 R18's. These have a near identical rolling radius.

Hope that helps

Hmm ok thanks for that Nick i knew the profiles were a bit low.. wasnt sure on how much the speedo would be affected so thanks for that :D

excellent choice... i love those wheels on A4's....

i suggest getting the TOYO's ... they may be a little more expencive, but they are definatrly worth it IMO!!!

My wheels and Toyo's came from wheelbase as well ;)
