Start up problem A3 1.8T

Hi people! Hope your all good!

I own a 1998 Audi a3 1.8t, now the problem is that early mornings, or on cold starts it will always switch on. Now if i drive for e.g. 45-60 minutues and switch it off. It wont switch on?

The engine tries to start up but it doesnt come on? At times it will come on BUT only if i pump the acceleration a bit? When i press it down, i can hear like a bump bump and slowly it starts up?

Spark plugs are brand new, Bosch. Even got the fuel filter changed and its still doing it?

Any ideas?

have the car scanned for faults, that will give you an idea what is wrong.

Would you know of any places where I can take it for a scan? South east side? Around london etc
