I have recently ordered a new A6 2.0 TDI which will come with the standard CD-ROM based Sat Nav and 6.5 Mono screen. I was just wondering, if this means I will be unable to listen to CD's when using the SatNav. Sorry if this is a dumb question :o

If this is the MFD2 system, then you will only be able to listen to CDs if you have a CD changer in the boot. :)

As you have a new A6 2.0 TDi you get as standard a 6 disk changer, so yes you can play music with the sat nav on.

In the glove box you will have both a CD changer & the CD Rom driver for the sat nav (I think you can also out a normal cd in the CD Rom drive and use it as 7th cd).

Also the CD changer is mp3/wma compatible!

I wouldn't be so sure about the audio cds in the nav cd slot.

If you do remove the nav cd, you will immediately loose any dynamic navigaition, or even rerouting!
