Hi All,
I’ve just bought a salvage damaged 2005 Touran 1.9TDI that won’t start.
The engine spins over & will fire with a spray of easy-start but won’t continue to run. (no fuel getting to engine, fuel in tank & filter before you ask!).
I’m presuming there is a fuel cut off valve triggered by the accident.
I have Vag-com 409 but need the later HEX-CAN (MK5 Golf platform) version to talk to this car?
Does anyone local to York (Wigginton) have a mobile version, (can’t more car!) of VCDS they’d be willing to come and read & clear the faults with?
Failing that, where is the cheapest place to buy a genuine interface?
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
Cheers, Josh.

The Touran requires a CAN based interface. The Ross-Tech HEX+CAN series or the MicroCAN interface will work. Our list of authorized dealers in the UK is found on this page:
