I am already starting to look at my next company car and having had an S3 Before but now it is a bit hard for me to use day to day i.e. Daugthers child seat.

I have been wondering about the S3 Sportback. Has anyone driven one / own one yet?

You comments would be good

Mine arrives next week, if you can wait a few days for a full answer....

Picked up on Friday, drove it across to N Germany over the weekend. Very pleased.

Power is outstanding and with the DSG box it is incredibly smooth.

On the journey from Wiltshire up to Harwich I was driving at between 65-70mph and got 35MPG overall.

The magnetic suspension is a worthwhile addition. So far no complaints!

Sorry for hijacking the thread.

Did you put headlight adjusters on?

Taking our new a3 over to the alps next week.

Nice looking car by the way.

Drove in daylight, but the car is in the dealer today to have the beams switched on the Vagcom.

Thanks.

Are you getting them changed because you live out there or for a trip? I did hear the dealers charge around £50 to change them each time. Might have to see if the halfords stick on jobbies will do the trick.

can the DLR be turned off at night? Like you can on the A4 and A5? Or once the switch is turned, thats it they come on...

Just got back from the dealers.

Spoke to them on Monday and they said it would be a leaver job and if i bring it in they'll flip it over for free.

Took it down and an hour later they tell me sorry its not a lever but must be changed via the compute. Bit concerned that at one point when they claimed i didn't have xenons...even though i pointed out the led running light are only availiable with the xenon option

They changed it for me FOC and will swap it back on my return FOC but it means i'll have to drive round for a couple of days with my light set for europe + it gives a warning about the levelers being faulty which they claim is bacause the rest of the system is set to UK, once it's set back on our return it'll stop.

I'm thinking an investment in VAG-com might be in order as we'll be going to europe at least 2-3 times a year and although free on this occasion it may not be in the future.
