A4 Headlight beam deflectors

Can someone help please? Having been quoted £54 for deflectors by my dealer, I am looking for alternatives. Are the cheap stick-on ones effective on the A4 (2003 1.9tdi Avant SE), is it better to just mask the beam, or are there any other options?

Ok, I used these when i went to france, they fit modern headlamps including clear fronted ones and have detailed fitting instructions.

They where no problem to remove afterward and didn't damage the headlamps which where plastic.

All for £7.99 can't be bad :D

I remember the VW passatt has a fiddly little switch on the back of the headlamp unit that could be flicked to Euro driving then back again. Does anyone know if the A4 has this as well? If so would save you lots of hassle

A4 no....... unless you have Xenons from the factory..

its a different headlight cluster... i took mine apart before going to france as i did not belive the dealer saying i could not change it...... he was right.....

A4 no....... unless you have Xenons from the factory..


Just to be pedantic, only the Bi-Xenons have the lever to alter the kerb kick-up. The standard Xenons on the 2003 A4s don't have the lever, so you need the beam benders!
