Ever heard of or seen a 3.3TDI?

Evening folks,
Just been on ebay and noticed a 3.3tdi audi badge for sale - anyone heard or seen of such a thing? Mentioned A8, S8 and quattro but you can never be sure of the title line.
Is it a bored out 3.0tdi perhaps?

The 3.3 part of the badge looks like part of an E46 B3.3 Alpina Badge. A bit anorakish but oh well. ;)

Maybe it's only available in Germany.

I believe in Germany there are VW 1.2 TDIs... which we don't have over here either.

Thanks for the ideas guys. Did some searching and it looks like it was a real Audi, but in LHD, so wasn't sold in Blighty. Stumbled over the article below... it was a V8 common-rail unit used in a hi-spec A8 quattro released in 1999. Twin-turbo, 225bhp, 480Nm, 0-60mphin 8.2sec. Lots of extras...

Another forum had a few folk discussing installing such a unit into other models!
