Hey guys! Im looking to replace my dump valve on my a3 1.8T. Ive heard the bosch unit is such a poor performer so Ive decided to change it before going for a remap.

right:

basically I dont want to loud a woosh noise that you would expect from a chavvy P reg astra GSI. but I would like a discreet whoosh just so I know the turbo is actually there :)

I already am planning a BMC CDA air filter which apparently helps the noise?

Ive heard the bailey DV30 is very good, but it is silent?

Cheers!
Luke

You'll need a dump valve that recirculates aswell as dumping otherwise your ecu will start throwing a wobbly. The Forge Splitters are the best. ;)

You can change it to the English site at the top.

Forge 007 are the best we fit them all the time..

No extra nose just works 20%'s better than the o.e one and will help make the turbo spin up faster in the higher gear's

Thanks Mike...

Forum user Twiggin would disagree about fitting one, especially relocating it. I only fit the APR R1. All of them make bugger all difference on all but the most seriously modified cars, in my opinion they are a complete waste of money, there is nothing wrong with the standard Bosch unit right up to around 240PS.

I forgot to mention, when you order ask for the extra free springs, If i remember correctly it comes with a Green one and you need a Yellow spring in the dump valve, which is a firmer spring, I was advised this by Chipped uk, something to do with the PSI

Forge should send you the extra spring for free, but that may have changed, mention it when you order or ring them up once you have ordered on line quoting your Ref/Order number, they even threw in 2 hose clamps which was real good of them.
