water leak drivers side on 01 S3 help please

got a serious puddle in drivers side footwell front and back,,,,thought it might of been cracked windscreen causing prob so i changed that and dried it out,,,,next night it rained and the puddle had returned,,,,ive felt the carpet all round the edge and its not damp anywhere,,,,can anybody give me any idea as to where the leak can be coming from,,,any help would be great

Hello mate, on my mates leon he had the same problem and it was the seals around the door, but I have also heard that it could be blocked water drains under the scuttle panel, may be worth having a look as leafs and all sorts of things can get stuck down there :D

On mine it was where the bonnet release cable went through the bulkhead in the driver's footwell that was letting in water.

Pull back the carpet and follow the cable. There should be a rubber gromet around where the cable goes through the bulkhead - if not then it's likely that's where the water is coming in.
