Hey guys, soon im looking to invest in a Audi A3 1.8T Sport (8L)

I just wondered what the real mpg is of these guys, with true day to day driving. (Traffic motorway etc)

I have a vw polo now and I will admit 80% of the time im driving it pretty hard, but its a small car and to get anywhere fast it needs it! im lucky to see 28 mpg out of it really.

So any ideas for the audi guys??

Cheers

Luke

My two golf 1.8T's average 28mpg and 27mpg over 60.000miles each.

I use a mixture of urban and motorway driving and im probably 50/50 driving like a granny/pushing it and still get around 27 to 28mpg.

maybe i really should start considering a diesel! humm... choices. I do a fair bit of mileage (about 20k a yr.) Maybe a diesel would be better in the long run. even if they are more expensive to start with

I think most of these people must have lead soled shoes as my father's S3 easily returns more than the above mpg and that's a 225bhp BAM engine. :o

well once I get the car im going to be considering the following:

engine remap:
cat back system with hi-flow cat
BMC CDA air intake

obviously these will probbaly reduce mpg even further. I didnt really want to own a car that falls below 30mpg to be fair!
