Look for audi TT cariers or vw golf rs32 or some audis/vw passats after 2001. Its the high power ones you need to look for: v6, quattros and some V6 tdi...

You need carrier 1J0 615 125 A. R32 carriers are no use to you whatsoever for a 312 conversion, they are for 332-mm front discs and matching 2 pot calipers. Otherwise you need to find an Octavia 1 VRS, Golf 4 Anniversary, Golf 4 4-Motion, TT 1 225, S3 etc and pull them off one of those or pay £120 each new.

chances of finding the carriers is slim as everybody wants them, i'm in the trade so can get them for around 95plus vat but i thought maybe by now somebody out there had done an aftermarket replica, if someone was to do this they would make a fortune! cheers anyway.

I doubt they would make a fortune as the market would not be big enough and would you want replica caliper carriers that were probably made in China?

Genuine one i bought from audi dealer £88 including VAT...The other carrier cost me 25 from NIRO vw/audi breaker...I would not trust me safety to some aftermarket part made in an obscure factory and maybe not tested propperly...

I know its a different situation, but our company provided us with main propulsion spares which were 'as good as the genuine ones but half the price'....they came from China and caused approx 850,000 quids worth of damage to the engine they were fitted to....saving? Me thinks not.
Pay for the genuine stuff!
